december 16, 2012
the year 2012 is finally about to come to an end. like the past years, it was a year of several changes and life issues. somehow i lived through it all.
i guess the one turning point this year was going all out in having my story/book released. writing the whole book wasn't easy. i began writing the outlines in 2007 and it took a few years of revising, editing and fine-tuning. and finding a professional editor and a good publisher was like placing a big bet at a casino game. yes, i had to spend some good money to have my work reviewed and evaluated by a professional writer. and i had to pay some good money to have my work published. my book started out as an e-book entitled "rogue tales book 1: nathan's story". sadly, it didn't make any splashes so i removed the e-book from amazon.com and changed the title to "a rogue element" before having it published as a hard copy. sadly, the publisher i was about to pay said she won't be publishing books for sometime since she had to promote her new book so i browsed the internet and sent query emails to the many publishers i could find.
finding a different publisher was a fun ride actually. when they read samples of my story, they really wanted me to sign up with them... especially these two big publishing firm in america. the average price of having a book published as a hard copy is around 3000aed. i was about to pay that much until this cool publishing firm in singapore called me and offered a sweet publishing deal. the opportunity was too sweet so i went for it.
but this is just the beginning of my venture as an author. the best is yet to come...
for now, if ever you get to read my book, "a rogue element", please give me your feedback so i can work harder on its prequel...
till here, happy reading...
